$5.00

Add a splash of color and personality to your aquarium with our vibrant Blue Wag Platy! These peaceful freshwater fish feature a striking shimmering blue body contrasted by bold black fins and tail (males feature some red as well), making them stand out in any community tank. Easy to care for and active swimmers, these platies are hardy, beginner-friendly, and thrive in groups. They also help bring life and movement to your setup with their playful nature.

It is recommended to have at least 3 platies for socializing. Its ideal to have a ratio of 1 male to 2-3 females or same-sex sex tanks. Platies are livebearers which means they give birth to fully formed fry. If you are planning to breed platies, have lots of hiding places for the fry to hide in; java moss, any floating plant, guppy grass, or dwarf sagittaria.

•Tank Mates: ex: corydora, tetra, molly, swordtail, guppy, nerite and mystery snails, freshwater shrimp (neocaridina, ghost, amano).

• Tank Size: Minimum 10 gallons for a group of 6, 20 to 50 gallons is ideal as they are busy swimmers.
