Red Tuxedo Koi Guppy
Red tuxedo koi guppies are rare and selectively bred. Both males and females display beautiful orange and blue colouration, and is uncommon in most female guppy variants. As these guppy age, their colours get more vibrant. These guppies are super interactive and make an excellent addition to any community tank! They're perfect if you are a beginner or an experienced hobbyist. Guppies are peaceful and enjoy swimming in schools (6+ recommended).
We recommend a ratio of 1 male per 2-3 females or same-sex tanks. Guppies are live bearers which means they give birth to fully formed frys. If you are planning to breed guppies, have lots of hiding places for the fry to hide in; ex: java moss, any floating plant, guppy grass, or dwarf sagittaria.
• Care Level: easy
• Type: Community
•Tank Mates: ex: corydoras, tetras, mollys, swordtails, platies, nerite and mystery snails, freshwater shrimp (neocaridina, ghost, amano).
• Tank Size: Minimum 10 gallons for a group of 6, 20 to 50 gallons is ideal as they are busy swimmers and if they start breeding you have room for the fry.
• Food: They are not picky eaters, you can feed them any store-bought fish food (flakes, micro pellets, powdered food), live/frozen food (brine shrimp, daphnia, mosquito larvae), occasionally blanched vegetables (spinach, peas). Feed 1 time a day, with fry you can feed 2 to 5 times a day. It is recommended in smaller amounts as they grow because you don’t want to feed them too much at once as it can spoil your tank water.
• Water Conditions: 7 - 8 pH
• Water Hardness: 8- 12 dGH
• Temperature: 76 - 78 F (24 - 25 C)
• Life Span: 2-3 years in good conditions
