Ramhorn Snail
Ramhorns are an easy and peaceful snail for any community tank. Ramhorns make for a great clean-up crew and can be fun to watch!
These snails can also make for a great meal or snack for pufferfish, snail-eating loaches, crayfish, gourami, and goldfish.
These snails lay eggs in the tank. If you don't want more snails you can limit feeding and/or scrap off the egg clutches.
If you feed these as a treat to your fish, you can leave the shells in the tank to break down to add calcium to your water.
Care Level: Easy
Type: Community
Tank Mates: Dwarf shrimp are especially great tank mates. They can be kept with most species EXCEPT goldfish, snail-eating loaches, pufferfish, large catfish, and large cichlids.
Tank Size: Recommended at least 5 gallons, the bigger the better to keep water parameters in good condition.
Food: Consume dead plants and organic matter, dead animals, leftover fish food, algae, calcium-rich foods, and vegetables.
Temperature: 68 - 78 F, no heater required
pH: 7.0 - 7.5
kH: 8 - 15
gH: 7 - 15
Size: When received, they may be around the size of a dime or smaller, and can grow slightly bigger.
Life Span: 1 - 2 years
We breed them in city water with crushed coral, 1lb per 10 gallons. You can add it either in the filter or the substrate.
Price is based on the rarity of the colour of ramhorn snail when breeding.
No returns/refunds.
