Water lettuce is an easy freshwater plant that floats on the top of the water surface, which can make for a wonderful addition in both an aquarium or a pond. Water lettuce helps provide shade for small tank mates, like baby shrimp or fry and absorbs ammonia and nitrates. Ideally, water lettuce loves high humidity environments, therefore having a lid to cover the plants is recommended as its a tropical aquatic plant. When in the best conditions, the lettuce can grow big and reproduce quickly, so it is recommended to do regular maintenance to ensure your fish have some surface agitation. Our water lettuce is C02 injected (C02 is not required to maintain the plant).
